Terms of Service
Effective Date: May 30, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Stork Money (“Stork Money,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Rainer Agles, a sole proprietor based in Washington, United States. They govern your use of the Stork Money mobile app, our website at storkmoney.com, and related services (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
2. What Stork Money is — and is not
Stork Money is an informational toolto help you track your finances, budget, and plan for financial independence. Its projections — including FIRE numbers, retirement dates, savings-rate calculations, and any scenario or simulation features — are estimates based on the information you provide and on general assumptions (such as a 25× expense multiplier and the “4% rule”). They are illustrative only and are not predictions or guarantees of future results.
Stork Money is not a bank, broker-dealer, investment adviser, tax adviser, or financial advisor, and we do not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. Consult a licensed professional before making decisions based on information from the Service.
3. Your account
You are responsible for providing accurate information, for keeping your password confidential, and for all activity under your account. Notify us at support@storkmoney.com if you suspect unauthorized use. You may maintain only one account unless we agree otherwise.
4. Free trial, subscriptions, and billing
Free trial. New accounts include a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. During the trial you have full access to the Service. When the 14-day trial ends, access is suspended until you subscribe.
Subscription plans. To continue after the trial, you may subscribe to Premium:
- Annual: $99 per year. As a limited-time launch promotion, the first year is $49; it then renews at $99 per year.
- Monthly: $8.25 per month.
Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude any applicable taxes. We may change prices going forward; we will give you notice before a change affects your renewal.
Billing and auto-renewal. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe at the start of each subscription period. Your subscription automatically renews at the then-current price at the end of each period (annually or monthly) until you cancel. You authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method on each renewal.
Cancellation.You may cancel anytime through your account’s subscription management (which opens the Stripe customer portal). Cancellation stops future renewals; you retain access through the end of your current paid period. To avoid the next charge, cancel before your renewal date.
Refunds. Except where required by applicable law, payments are non-refundable, and partial-period refunds are not provided. Billing questions can be directed to support@storkmoney.com. Because subscriptions are billed by us through Stripe (not through Apple), refund requests are handled by us, not Apple.
5. Connecting financial accounts
If you connect a financial institution, you authorize us, through Plaid, to access and retrieve your account and transaction information on your behalf. Your use of Plaid is also subject to Plaid’s terms and privacy policy. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect any account you link. You can disconnect a linked account at any time, which revokes access and stops further syncing.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to access another user’s account or data; reverse engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the Service or its security; use automated means to access the Service except as we permit; or upload malicious code. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding your data), is owned by Stork Money and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
8. Your data
You retain ownership of the financial and personal data you provide. You grant us a limited license to process that data solely to operate and provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties including Plaid (financial data), Stripe (payments), and others. Your use of those features may be subject to the third party’s terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services or their availability.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that data synced from third parties (including Plaid) will be accurate or complete, or that any financial projection will prove accurate.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STORK MONEY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR FINANCIAL LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE OR ANY FINANCIAL DECISION YOU MAKE USING IT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR $50 USD. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stork Money from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 10, 11, and 12) will survive.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last Updated” date, and for material changes we will provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute not resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Washington, and you consent to that jurisdiction. Nothing here limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection laws in your jurisdiction.
16. Apple App Store
If you download the Stork Money app from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:
- These Terms are between you and Stork Money only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app; any support questions should be directed to us at support@storkmoney.com.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the app. Any claim that the app fails to conform to a warranty is the responsibility of Stork Money.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product-liability, regulatory, or consumer-protection claims, or claims that the app infringes a third party’s intellectual-property rights.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
